AMA International School to participate in WARC
Manama : The AMA International School will be a part of the World Robot Competition 2017 (WARC 2017). The WARC 2017- RoboCom Challenge will be held in Beijing from August 22nd to 25th 2017. The contest is part of the World Robot Conference 2017 (WRC 2017).
This competition is an event for science and technology education to develop the creativity and problem-solving skills through challenging and educational robot contest since 2011.
The AMAIS Robotics Department will be a part of this competition and will be sending students, namely Romeo Buhay, Fares Aldhaen, GohYiyi, Goh Ken, to represent the Kingdom of Bahrain in the competition.
The students will be supported by Mary Grace Santos Barao (WRO Bahrain National Organizer) and Efren Santos as their coach.
This year’s competition will have more than 20 countries, including, Germany, Canada, Bahrain, Philippines, USA and Mexico to compete with more than 150 international teams. The competition will have in four categories: WRO (World Robot Olympiad) Regular Category, VEX Robotics Competition, FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Competition.
