Al Noor School celebrates CBSE Annual Day
Manama : The CBSE section of Al Noor International School celebrated its 23rd Annual Day on Thursday. The event was based on the theme, “Value of Respect.”
Indian Embassy First Secretary Meera Sisodia was the chief guest. School Chairman Ali Hasan, Director Dr. Muhammad Mashood, Acting Principal Amin Mohammed Ahmed Hulaiwah, the Head Teachers of the various sections, officials from the Education Ministry and parents were among those present.
Students who received recognition for their outstanding performance include Alakhjot Saini (Grade 1), Maryam Abdul Lateef (Grade 2), Joanna Manoj Zacharia (Grade 3), Munira Mustafa Bawaadam (Grade 4), Kalyani Kavitha (Grade 5), Nishanth Nithyananda Shet (Grade 6), Yeshas Krishna (Grade 7), Shamila Salik (Grade 8), Rowena Eliza Thomas (Grade 9)and Hani Ashraf Bououdina (Grade 11).
A total of 114 students received awards for their participation in the various talent competitions held during the course of the school year. Navaneet Anilkumar of Grade 8 and Piyush Rajesh of Grade 5 received special awards for winning the Sastra Prathiba contest 2016.
The students of all age groups presented entertaining programmes, showcasing their talents with emphasis on the significance of respecting different cultures and nature.
The tiny tots of kindergarten mesmerised the audience with their amazing dance performances. The programme, “Enchanting India” by Grade 1 and 2 students showcased different scenes of wedding celebrations in the South Asian country.
Musical mime, “The World is Ours,” stressed on the value of respect for nature. It showcased the developments of man at the cost of nature, underlining that “Earth belongs to the future generation.”
