The Tenders Board commenced its weekly live opening session yesterday, reviewing bids for the Busaiteen Bridge Street Development Project-Package Four, which encompasses road and bridge works including the distinctive sea bridge.
This new Busaiteen Bridge will be the fourth connecting Manama and Muharraq, funded by the Saudi Fund for Development.
The project involves the development of Busaiteen Avenue from Junction 4 to Junction 5, construction of the bridge, related slope works, and the ring road bridge linking the new Busaiteen Avenue to the first phase of the Northern Manama Bridge, as outlined in the tender documents and engineering plans.
This tender is part of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s ongoing efforts, represented by the Ministry of Works, to enhance and expand the road network to accommodate the country’s rapid economic growth.
During today’s session, six bids were received from various companies, namely: ALMOAYYED CONTRACTING W.L.L, Six Construct Co. Limited, HAJI HASSAN GROUP B.S.C (C), RASHID TRADING AND CONTRACTING COMPANY, Cebarco Bahrain W.L.L, and Yamama Company for Trading and Contracting.
All bids have been accepted and will undergo technical and financial evaluation. The contract will be awarded to the bidder with the most favourable terms and lowest price, although the lowest bid will not necessarily be the winning one.
