BKS commemorates Raghu’s first death anniversary

The Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) held a remembrance meeting at its premises on June 10 to commemorate the first death anniversary of Mr. M P Raghu, a former General Secretary of BKS.

The event was attended by several members of the Executive Committee and many BKS members, who gathered to honour the memory of their departed leader.

During the meeting, Mr. Varghese Karakkal, the General Secretary, spoke fondly about the contributions of Mr. Raghu, highlighting his personal traits as a lovable and humanitarian leader.

Mr. Dileesh, the Acting President, expressed that Mr. Raghu’s absence continues to be deeply felt, leaving a void that remains unfilled within the organization and Malayali Diaspora.

Treasurer Mr Devadas Kunnath shared sentiments of loss, describing Mr. Raghu as a beloved friend whose absence is very much felt by the BKS community.

Bilateral relations

Other members, including Mr. Veeramani and Mr. Praveen Nair, reflected on Mr. Raghu’s dedicated efforts in serving the Malayali community and his role in strengthening relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and India.

Additionally, Ms. Mohini Thomas, the Ladies Wing President, highlighted Mr. Raghu’s caring nature and his advocacy for the welfare of women in society, underscoring his commitment to inclusivity and community well-being.

Mr Manikantan, Mr Sathyan Perambra, Mr. Sreehari G Pillai were remembered Mr M P Raghu.

The remembrance meet served as a poignant reminder of Mr. Raghu’s lasting impact and the profound loss felt by all who knew him within the BKS community.
