The Capital Municipality Council has approved a request to allocate financial resources for the maintenance and development of 39 parks and gardens within the Capital Governorate.
This decision follows a review of a report and recommendations from the Finance and Legal Committee, which emphasised the importance of upgrading these green spaces in line with the Kingdom’s urban development.
The committee also highlighted the need for optimal utilization of parks and gardens, enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens and residents, and improving the overall level of municipal services.
Additionally, they stressed the importance of ensuring the facilities are fully operational and accessible to the public throughout the year, while also generating additional revenue for the Capital Municipality.
During the Council meeting, the Chairman of the Finance and Legal Committee, Mohammed Al Abbas, explained that the committee members discussed the detailed budget for park development and maintenance with the Head of Parks and Gardens at the Capital Municipality
