Major road accident in Iraq kills a woman, injures seven Bahrainis

A tragic road accident between Dhi Qar and Basra in Iraq yesterday morning has killed a Bahraini woman and left seven other Bahraini citizens injured.
The accident has also claimed the life of another individual, whose nationality remains undisclosed.
Bahrain’s Ambassador to Iraq, Khalid Al Mansour, has stated that one of the injured Bahraini citizens is in critical condition, while the remaining six are stable.
Embassy delegates, he said, are en route to the Turkish Hospital in Nasiriyah, Dhi Qar Governorate, where the injured Bahrainis are receiving treatment.
Al Mansour assured that appropriate measures will be taken after assessing the conditions of the injured individuals.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is closely monitoring the situation,” he added in a statement, emphasizing that the embassy will extend all necessary support to the injured and pray for their swift recovery.
Sources close to the incident confirmed that several other individuals were also injured in the accident involving Bahraini travellers.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation.
