Bahrain rejects meddling, embraces peaceful coexistence, says Russian Ambassador

At a reception celebrating Bahrain’s National Day, Russia’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Dr. Alexey Skosyrev, reaffirmed Bahrain’s position on rejecting foreign interference and the imposition of external ideologies.
He emphasised that while Bahrain upholds its Islamic traditions, it also values peaceful coexistence between different cultures and systems.
Ambassador Skosyrev highlighted the strong partnership between Bahrain and Russia, citing the recent productive talks between President Vladimir Putin and HM the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in Moscow.
Their meeting yielded seven cooperation agreements spanning various sectors, including education, healthcare, commerce, and culture.
The Ambassador expressed confidence that these agreements will significantly strengthen bilateral relations and also placed special significance on the King choosing Russia as his first destination after the Arab Summit and being the first Arab leader to visit Moscow following the inauguration of Russia’s new president.
He emphasized that Russia greatly values these gestures of goodwill.
