Royal support for security and safety hailed

The Minister of Interior, His Excellency Major Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, praised the support and attention of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for all the projects and efforts aimed at preserving security and enhancing public safety for all citizens and residents.
He highlighted the integrated system of development and modernization plans, as well as measures, to ensure the provision of modern security services.
Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah was speaking as he visited yesterday the General Directorate of Civil Defense.
The Minister expressed his thanks and appreciation to the civil defense personnel for their great and distinctive efforts in dealing with incidents, especially the fire that affected residential buildings and commercial shops in the old Manama Souq.
At the reception, he was welcomed by Lieutenant General Tariq Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, and the Director-General of the General Directorate of Civil Defense.
