A Bahraini family is grappling with grief and praying for the recovery of loved ones injured in a tragic car accident that occurred on the international highway near the Iraqi city of Nasiriyah.

The accident claimed the life of one family member, namely Fawziya Al Najjar, whose remains were laid to rest in the Al Salim cemetery in Najaf, Iraq. Six other family members remain hospitalized in Nasiriyah, Turkey, with one in critical condition, aged 15, in intensive care.

Sources close to the family confirmed the release of one family member from the hospital, leaving six others under medical care.

A family member, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of support and prayers. They shared details of the remaining hospitalized individuals, including two women, the driver, and a 15-year-old child in intensive care.

The family member revealed that the driver, who is still in a state of denial, is unaware of his mother's passing and has limited recollection of the accident. The two women are recovering from surgery for fractures sustained in the crash, while the 15-year-old boy remains in intensive care but is stable.

The family expressed their sincere appreciation to the Bahraini Embassy in Iraq, led by Ambassador Khalid Al Mansour, for their tireless efforts in assisting them during this difficult time.
