HM King hails people, pays homage to martyrs

The annual day has been added as an occasion to pay homage to the nation’s martyrs and commemorate the martyrs of duty since the foundation of Bahrain, said His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

As the National Day and the Martyrs’ Day, which will fall on December 17, are imminent, HM the King congratulated the people while speaking with a number of citizens at Al Sakhir Palace here yesterday.

Remembering the martyrs, HM the King remarked: “They have instilled in us moral values, armed us with knowledge and brought us up for this day.” “Inshallah, we learn the lesson and bring up our children for the coming days and those days which
may be difficult.”

HM the King welcomed the attendees and hailed their stances, lauding their dedicated efforts to serve Bahrain and its people as well as their brethren in the region. HM King Hamad highlighted Bahrain’s pivotal regional and international role as well as contributions and participations, which serve good causes.

HM the King also stressed the people’s long-standing reputation, which was passed down from generation to generation, hailing their trade, cultural and defence contributions over centuries.
