Bahrain Defence Force General Command Announces Opening of Volunteer Applications for Reserve Force

The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force announces the opening of volunteer applications for civilians (both male and female) to join the reserve force.
This opportunity is extended to relatives of current employees and retirees of the Bahrain Defence Force and the National Guard (both military and civilian) for the year 2024.
Those interested in volunteering must register on the Bahrain Defence Force website at the following link: https://www.bdf.bh
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Bahraini national.
- Be between 18 and 55 years of age (the upper age limit may be waived for technicians, specialists, or according to duty requirements).
- Have good conduct and not have been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanour involving honour or honesty.
- Be fit for military service in the reserve force and successfully pass the prescribed medical examination according to the system of military medical committees in the Bahrain Defence Force.
- Submit a volunteer application form available on the website.
The Reserve Force Law, issued by Decree-Law No. 5 of 1987, along with the regulations and instructions issued under it, governs all rights and duties of the reserve force as a reserve unit for the Bahrain Defence Force.
It also outlines the benefits and entitlements associated with service in the reserve force.
