Bahrain, Iran begin talks to resume ties

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, engaged in a bilateral meeting with Iran’s acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Dr. Ali Bagheri Kani, in Tehran yesterday to resume political relations and strengthen bilateral ties.
It was held within the context of the enduring fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Iran, marked by shared religion, geographical proximity, common history, and mutual interests.
The meeting was convened on the occasion of Dr. Al Zayani’s official visit to Iran, following an invitation extended by his Iranian counterpart to participate in an Asian cooperation dialogue.
During the discussions, both parties reached an agreement to establish the necessary frameworks aimed at initiating talks between the two countries.
