Mr. Mubarak Khalifa Al Hadi, the Secretary-General of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS), announced that four NGOs in the Kingdom of Bahrain will send 1,000 wheelchairs as assistance to the victims of the war in the Gaza Strip. He added that these NGOs, along with the Bahraini Red Crescent Society, include the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, KAAF Humanitarian, and the Islamic Society.

Al Hadi explained that this aid shipment is presented on behalf of the Bahraini people to their brothers and sisters in Palestine. It will be sent overland through Saudi Arabia and then Jordan, after coordination with the governmental authorities in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan regarding this matter.

At the same time, Al Hadi discussed the efforts made by the Bahraini Red Crescent Society to receive Palestinian children who are injured and suffering from serious illnesses in Gaza for treatment. He pointed out that the Israeli side still prevents the exit of convoys in need of medical treatment and care.

He confirmed the presence of several institutions and charitable associations in the Kingdom that are ready to provide assistance and extend a helping hand to the people of the Gaza Strip. In a related context, Al Hadi affirmed that the Bahraini Red Crescent Society continues to provide in-kind and cash assistance within Bahrain since its establishment in 1970 until now.

It works on providing various types of monthly assistance, whether in-kind or cash, in addition to Ramadan aid for needy Bahraini families. He mentioned that the Red Crescent has started launching services to receive financial donations through mobile applications such as "BenefitPay" or the "Talabat" application, as well as receiving donations through "Sadad" devices. Another idea is also underway to expand the receipt of donations through automated teller machines (ATMs) in some banks.
