276,225 people enter Bahrain in one week
The Assistant Undersecretary for Ports, Search and Follow-up at the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports & Residence (GDNPR) on Thursday said 276,225 people had entered Bahrain from November 26 to December 2.
He said 227,680 arrived from Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries via King Fahad Causeway, 48,100 through Bahrain International Airport and 445 through ports.
The 25-kilometre long King Fahad Causeway, the terrestrial link between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, was opened on November 26, 1986. It has been used by millions of travelers and vehicles, making it one of the busiest traffic areas in the Arab world.
