Bahrain to host 12th World Small and Medium Enterprises Day Summit tomorrow

The Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Society is ready to hold the 12th edition of the World Small and Medium Enterprises Day Summit tomorrow at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Manama.

It is held in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Chinese Embassy in Bahrain, the Bahraini-Chinese Friendship Society, and the United International Small and Medium Enterprises Organisation (UNISMO).

This year’s summit is particularly significant following His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s successful visit to China and the subsequent signing of joint cooperation agreements between the two nations.

Recognising the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships, the organising committee has chosen the theme “Investment Opportunities for Small and Medium Enterprises in Bahrain and China.”

Investment relations

“The conference is a direct follow-up to His Majesty the King’s visit,” stated Dr. Abdul Hassan Hassan Al-Dairi, Chairman of the Bahrain SMEs Society and UNISMO.

“We aim to enhance investment relations between the two countries, particularly in the SME sector, which is vital for both economies.

The success of this sector is essential for national economic growth and prosperity.”

The summit will provide a platform for bilateral investment meetings, allowing Bahraini and Chinese investors to explore potential partnerships and joint ventures.

Additionally, the forum will witness the signing of cooperation agreements and the launch of initiatives aimed at strengthening the financial and business sectors in both countries.

Dr. Al-Dairi extended a warm invitation to Bahraini entrepreneurs and SME owners, encouraging them to participate.
