EWA launches new electricity safety campaign

The Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) has launched a new campaign to enhance public awareness of electricity safety.
Titled “Electricity Safety is Your Safety,” the initiative aims to promote responsible electricity usage in households.
According to EWA, the campaign affirms its commitment to social responsibility by promoting a culture of security in electricity consumption.
It highlights the importance of adhering to proper methods to minimise electrical accidents at home.
EWA stressed the need to engage only approved electrical contractors for any home electrical work.
Using uncertified contractors poses safety risks due to their potential non-compliance with safety standards.
Furthermore, the authority cautioned against overloading electrical circuits without consulting EWA, as this could lead to hazards. Subscribers are urged to contact EWA.
