The Muharraq Municipality is inviting suppliers to participate in an internal tender for the rehabilitation of the children's play area at the Arad Fort Corniche. Spanning an area of 46,647 square metres, the project aims to revitalise the playground and enhance the recreational experience for visitors.

The scope of work encompasses various aspects, including revitalising the play area by introducing new play equipment, replacing and maintaining existing equipment, and refurbishing shade structures and chairs.

Additionally, the project calls for the installation of a small boat dock, which will provide additional recreational opportunities for visitors to enjoy boating activities. Maintaining the pump room, which is crucial for maintaining the water features in the park, and replacing damaged lighting to improve safety and visibility in the play area, especially during evening hours, are also part of the project.

Interested suppliers can participate in a site visit scheduled for 30th June 2024, at 9:00 AM at the Arad Fort Corniche.

The Arad Fort Corniche project, initiated in March 2005, boasts a diverse range of recreational and sports facilities, including a walking track, a fitness area equipped with exercise equipment, and a dedicated children's play area. The project also features a water fountain, public service buildings, and extensive green spaces, creating a vibrant and welcoming environment for visitors.

The project specifications include a total area of 49,788 square metres, a built-up area of 39,883 square metres, a parking area of 11,615 square metres with 324 parking spaces, and a total cost of 2.2 million Bahraini dinars.

The walking track has a length of 785 metres and a width of 10 metres, with a paved area of 17,636 square metres. The green space area covers 16,244 square metres, and the project utilises an artesian well with a depth of 90 metres for irrigation of the green spaces and palm trees, with a daily water requirement of 1815 cubic metres.

The rehabilitation of the children's play area at the Arad Fort Corniche is expected to enhance the recreational experience for visitors and provide a safe and enjoyable environment for children.
