Southern Governorate Hosts Open Meeting with Local Community Members

His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, hosted an open community meeting at the Governorate Majlis, which was attended by residents from various areas of the Southern Governorate. Brigadier Hamad Mohammed Al Khayat, Deputy Governor, and several officers and officials from the Governorate were also present.

During the meeting, His Highness the Governor emphasised the importance of strengthening communication with community members and addressing local development needs.

"This aligns with the insightful vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to directly engage citizens' opinions and suggestions that align with pioneering visions and aspirations across security, service, and social sectors," he stated.

His Highness affirmed the Governorate's continuous commitment to establishing an approach of communication that is a fundamental pillar of its work. This includes ongoing field visits and inspection tours to understand citizens' needs and monitor progress on various projects that achieve future and sustainable visions and aspirations through coordination and partnership with various sectors of the community.

His Highness the Governor listened to a number of opinions and suggestions across various fields that enhance security, development, and social aspects from community members. He noted the continuous follow-up and coordination with relevant authorities to action proposals that contribute to achieving the leading development vision that meets the aspirations of residents across the Governorate's various areas.

At the close of the meeting, attendees expressed their thanks and appreciation to His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa for his continuous communication and efforts in coordinating with community members, considering local needs, and monitoring them. They also commended the Governorate's efforts in achieving integrated work with various relevant authorities and sectors to serve all members of society.
