Her Excellency Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, announced that the Ministry of Youth Affairs has introduced a series of initiatives and programmes designed to engage with Bahraini youth, to understand their ideas and perspectives on various development issues in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and to involve them in decision-making processes, recognising their capacity to shape the future. She lauded the significant achievements of Bahraini youth across different fields, which have positioned the Kingdom as a leading example in youth empowerment, supporting national talents, and identifying abilities.
This announcement was made during the Minister’s meeting with a group of young people from the Kingdom as part of the “Dialogue” initiative, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs. This platform aims to gather the opinions of Bahraini youth on diverse subjects and learn about their viewpoints.
The Minister articulated that Bahrain’s strategy concerning youth consistently aims to invest in their potential and energy, reflecting a conviction in their capacity to communicate, innovate, and enhance the Kingdom’s competitive edge. This strategy aligns with the broader developmental ambitions across various sectors, offering opportunities to advance youth capabilities and projects.
The Minister emphasised the importance of the “Dialogue” initiative, which accords with the Ministry’s aim to listen to the youth and consider their suggestions for envisioning future trajectories. Discussions centred on ways to empower youth and design programmes that resonate with their ideas.
During the meeting, the Minister outlined plans for the next phase, which will prioritise the vision of youth, encouraging them to excel intellectually, creatively, and productively. She also detailed the action plan and initiatives the Ministry intends to implement, fostering an environment where youth can contribute effectively to societal development.
The assembly addressed several key issues pertinent to young people. The Minister attentively listened to their visions and aspirations, exploring further opportunities to develop their skills and knowledge, thereby enhancing their contributions to the nation's present and future.
