Ministry of Interior Announces Tender for 500 Smart Traffic Monitoring Cameras

The Ministry of Interior has issued a tender today, Thursday, for the provision of 500 smart traffic monitoring cameras for the General Directorate of Traffic at the Ministry of Interior.
The tender attracted bids from 14 companies, with the lowest bid valued at BD 1,455,199 from H.A. Al Rashid Contracting Company, and the highest bid valued at BD 31,097,388 from Ali Ahmed Al Kuwaiti Company.
The ministry has stated that 300 cameras will be provided during the first year, followed by 100 cameras in the second year and another 100 cameras in the third year.
This new initiative is part of the ministry's efforts to enhance the traffic monitoring and management system in the country. The smart cameras will be equipped with advanced features to improve traffic flow, identify violations, and enhance road safety.
