Southern Governorate Launches Fifth Edition of Security and Social Programme for Youth

The Southern Governorate has launched the fifth edition of HH the Southern Governor's Security and Social Programme for Youth in collaboration with security agencies and civil society organisations. The initiative reflects the Southern Governor, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa's commitment to nurturing security, social and cultural values among Bahrain's youth.
Starting on 27 June 2024, the programme follows the success of previous years. It aims to enhance the role of security, social and cultural education for students through activities with the Governorate's police and partners. The launch event included a workshop by the Southern Governorate Community Police. It highlighted their security and outreach roles in the community.
Students learned effective engagement techniques and how to strengthen ties between authorities and public.The month-long programme targets 12-15 year olds of all backgrounds. It equips participants with skills while harnessing their potential. Through awareness sessions, the Governorate fosters responsible citizenship among the next generation.
