Municipalities Minister reviews capital governorate projects with Capital Secretariat Council

Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, the Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister, received Saleh Tarada, the Capital Secretariat Council President and council members to discuss various topics related to enhancing and developing municipal projects in the Capital Governorate.

The Minister emphasised the crucial role of the Capital Secretariat Council in monitoring and ensuring the progress of development projects implemented by the ministry in the Capital Governorate according to the planned strategies, contributing to sustainable development in Bahrain.

The Minister highlighted the efforts of the Capital Secretariat Council and municipal councils in supporting and advancing municipal work and in overseeing service projects that benefit citizens and residents of Bahrain.

The meeting reviewed progress of the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture projects in the Capital Governorate. Key projects discussed included the development of the Manama waterfront (King Faisal Corniche), the establishment of two parks in East Sitra, and the development and beautification of Salman Port.

The meeting also covered updates on an urban and rural development Project, a significant initiative for urban development in the Kingdom, as well as improvements to the building permit issuance system (Benayat) and the latest procedural enhancements. 

The Capital Secretariat Council President and council members underscored the importance of continuous coordination with the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture and monitoring the progress of projects in the Capital Governorate to ensure their completion according to priorities and plans. They praised the ministry's role and the various projects it is implementing in the Capital Governorate, which contribute to sustainable development.
