Bahrain Polytechnic Forms Student Council for the Academic Year 2024-25

The CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin, announced the formation of the new Bahrain Polytechnic Student Council (BPSC) for the upcoming academic year 2024-25. This came after an e-voting process that included 27 candidates competing for the council’s positions.
During their meeting with the newly elected members, Fawaz Aaref AlQasimi was elected as the president of the student council. Faisal Mohamed Fathi was elected the vice president, while Zainab Ahmed AlGallaf secured the position of secretary and Talal Shaker Abdulla was elected as the treasurer.
The committee positions were distributed as follows: Shooq Radhi Alasfoor, Sports Committee Chair; Muhannad Karim Alqassab, Sports Committee Vice Chair; Bayan Abdulla Slais, Art and Culture Committee Chair; Layal Hussain AlSairafi, Art and Culture Committee Vice Chair; Deema Waleed Almulla, Social Committee Chair; Nooh Taleb Mohammed, Social Committee Vice Chair; Bayan Yaser Abdulla, Student Services Committee Chair; Maryam Yusuf Alradhi, Student Services Committee Vice Chair;
On this occasion, Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin expressed his sincere congratulations to the new members of the Student Council, wishing them success and fulfillment in their positions, as they take on the responsibilities of addressing the concerns and issues of the students and working collaboratively with the Polytechnic’s administration. He emphasized the importance of listening to students' suggestions, and taking initiatives to organize events and activities that benefit the student body and the Polytechnic.
He also extended his heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the outgoing members of the Student Council for their dedicated efforts, which resulted in numerous successful events that benefited the students, faculty, and the community.
In turn, the elected Student Council President, Fawaz Aaref AlQasimi, expressed his gratitude to the students for their trust and nomination for him as the council president. He looks forward to working diligently and cooperatively with the new council members to convey the students' voice and suggestions to the Polytechnic’s management.
