Giant screen at Abu Subh Beach gets green light

The Northern Municipal Council approved the installation of a giant screen at Abu Subh Beach during its weekly meeting yesterday. This project aims to enhance physical fitness and public health by broadcasting sports training exercises for residents of the Northern Governorate.
The screen will present a range of scheduled exercises and sports activities managed by Bahraini sports experts and trainers.
This initiative provides an accessible way for individuals of all ages and fitness levels to engage in physical activity. Council member Bassem Abu Idris, who proposed the project, believes it will boost the area’s reputation as a healthy destination.
He expressed his hope that this initiative will inspire residents to adopt healthier lifestyles, thereby improving both physical and mental well-being.
The project addresses social issues among the youth. By providing space for physical activity, the organisers hope to deter them from engaging in harmful behaviours such as substance abuse and theft.
