Bapco Energies and TotalEnergies Forge Strategic Partnership to Bolster Bahrain's Energy Sector

This collaboration focuses on optimizing the trading of petroleum products, leveraging TotalEnergies' vast experience and capabilities in product and feedstock supply, refining, and trade.

The prestigious signing ceremony, hosted by TotalEnergies in Paris, was graced by the presence of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King's Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of Bapco Energies. Other prominent figures included H.E. Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs; H.E. Abdulla Jehad Al Zain, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bapco Refining Company; Mr. Mark Thomas, CEO of Bapco Energies; and Dr Abdulrahman Jawahery, CEO of Bapco, alongside distinguished executives and officials from TotalEnergies.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa highlighted the agreement's alignment with the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for Bahrain's energy sector. He lauded the collaborative efforts leading to this agreement, terming it a critical strategic move for Bapco Energies.

The groundwork for this collaboration was laid during Mr. Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of TotalEnergies Group, visit to Bahrain in March of this year. The visit fostered discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation, recognizing the mutual benefits a strategic partnership could offer.
