Six agencies compete for third ‘Celebrate Bahrain Season’ tourism campaign

Six advertising agencies are vying for the contract to manage a strategic outdoor campaign promoting the third edition of the ‘Celebrate Bahrain Season’ across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets.

The Tender Board re - vealed that bids range from BD291,929.000 by the lowest bidder Vallay Media International to BD994,205.344 by the highest bidder Mindshare Al Bahrain WLL.

The chosen agency will oversee a comprehensive offline advertising campaign designed to raise awareness and attract visitors to Bahrain during the peak holiday season.

This annual campaign, first introduced by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) in 2022, coincides with Bahrain’s National Day celebrations in December.

It aims to highlight the wide array of activities and events available to locals and tourists throughout the festive month.

The 2023 Bahrain Festive Season included musical and cultural events, such as concerts hosted by the Al Dana Amphitheatre for National Day and New Year’s Eve, and performances by the Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra, organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) at the National Theatre.

The events attracted nearly 7,000 attendees to Water Garden City and 21,800 to Marassi Bahrain.

Significant crowds were also recorded at other popular locations, including Bahrain Bay, Bahrain Financial Harbour, Bahrain Fort, Bahrain National Museum, and Najma Club.
