Anti-Narcotics Directorate Seizes Over 2 Kilograms of Drugs, Arrests Multiple Suspects

The Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Forensic Evidence has successfully apprehended several individuals of different nationalities in separate incidents, seizing over 2 kilograms of narcotics valued at over BD 24,000.
The Directorate revealed that following intelligence reports, thorough investigations led to the identification and arrest of the suspects. Upon apprehension, they were found in possession of the seized drugs and various currencies believed to be proceeds from illicit sales.
The General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Forensic Evidence Investigation confirmed that the seized items have been documented and secured, with legal proceedings initiated for referral to the Public Prosecution.
In a continued effort to strengthen community partnership in combating drug abuse, the Anti-Narcotics Directorate urged all citizens and residents to report any suspicious activity or observations. They can also seek assistance related to drug control through the hotline (996) or via email.
