The Public Prosecution announced completing its investigation into a human trafficking case and has referred the accused, all Asian nationals' women, to the Criminal Court.
The investigation was initiated following a report from the Anti-Human Trafficking Department alleging that the accused engaged in human trafficking by forcing victims into illegal activities and exploiting them in acts contrary to public morals for financial gain.
The Public Prosecutor stated that upon receiving the report, they immediately launched an investigation.
"We interviewed the victims and, as part of their standard procedures in such cases, placed them in the National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking's shelter. The accused were interrogated, and police investigations were conducted, confirming the veracity of the allegations. The investigators' testimony was also recorded," the statement pointed out.
Following the completion of the investigation and the establishment of sufficient evidence against the accused, the Public Prosecution ordered their referral to the Criminal Court.
