A medical team, supported by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the Bahrain Youth Hostels Association, has successfully returned from Nepal.

Led by Dr. Hassan Al-Mousawi and including Dr. Aisha Al-Maqhawi, Dr. Janan Ibrahim, Dr. Sadeeqa Hashim, Dr. Aisha Darwish, Dr. Maryam Al-Rashed, and nurse Fatima Makahla, alongside volunteers from the Sahabat Amal team, the group provided critical healthcare services.

The team established a field medical camp in remote Nepalese villages, treating over 500 citizens.

Services included diagnosing ailments, providing medications, and conducting preventive screenings such as blood sugar and blood pressure tests.

Translators assisted in delivering personalised health advice.

Focused on oral and dental health, the team offered examinations and treatment plans, while educational efforts addressed smoking and alcohol risks among adolescents and community members through Nepali-language leaflets.

Medical support extended to three schools, where clinics were set up and CPR workshops were conducted for teachers and students.

Emphasising personal hygiene and environmental cleanliness, the mission underscored the importance of proper waste disposal to enhance community health and well-being
