HM King stresses safe navigation, trade in talks with US Ambassador

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued a strong call for ensuring safe navigation and trade in the region during his discussions yesterday with US Ambassador Steven Bondy.
The meeting, attended by Vice Admiral George Wikoff, Commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command and Commander of the US Fifth Fleet, delved into the latest regional and international developments, particularly the escalating events in the region.
His Majesty the King underscored the strength of the longstanding Bahrain-US relations, highlighting their foundation of mutual trust, respect, and coordination.
HM praised the progress of the robust bilateral ties with the United States, especially in military and defence cooperation.
"This is crucial to advancing the interests of both nations and safeguarding navigation and trade in the region," King Hamad stated.
