Bahraini graduates scoring over 90% during the 2023- 2024 academic year can apply for 4,000 scholarships and grants, announced Education Minister Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma.
Those with averages of 95% or higher qualify for 1,600 scholarships, while those scoring between 90% and 94.9% are eligible for approximately 2,400 grants, solely based on their cumulative GPA.
Dr. Juma emphasized the ministry’s commitment to awarding scholarships to students with a GPA of 95% or more if they choose to study at the University of Bahrain or Bahrain Polytechnic, provided they meet admission criteria.
This year, the ministry granted six scholarships for studies in the USA and UK, including two at Indiana University in Manufacturing, Automation, and Control Engineering.
In collaboration with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), nursing scholarships increased from 120 to 300 this year, covering fields like medicine, engineering, and others.
