Women’s success in financial sector noted
Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa said that Bahraini women had succeeded in carrying out their duties in the financial and banking sector competently, which, he stressed, entitled them to reach leadership posts within the equal opportunities principle implemented in the kingdom.
He affirmed that women’s success indicates the positive social changes that consolidated their role in various fields.
The Governor made the statements as he patronised the Capital Governorate’s celebrations of the Bahraini Women’s Day 2015, attended by all women staff.
The Governor honoured three women pioneers in the financial and banking sector, including Aziza Abdulrahim Kamal, Aysha Abdulkarim Bucheery and Fatima Ateeq Al Dussari.
The Capital Governor extended sincere congratulations to Wife of His Majesty the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) Chairwoman, HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, and all Bahraini women on the Bahraini Women’s Day.
He also lauded Bahraini women’s outstanding competence in various fields, especially the financial and banking sector.
Director of Social Programmes and Community Affairs at the Capital Governorate Fatima Al Ghatam expressed pride in attending the ceremony marking the Bahraini Women’s Day 2015.
She said that celebrating Bahraini women’s achievements in the financial and banking sector was the result of the successful efforts exerted by women in the sector for long years.
She thanked the governor for his continuous support to Bahraini women’s empowerment.
