Royal directives for peaceful Ashura hailed by lawmakers

Members of Bahrain's Council of Representatives praised the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa aimed at ensuring a smooth and orderly Ashura season.

MP Ahmed Al Salloum, from the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee, highlighted the King's advocacy for openness and tolerance.

Al Salloum underscored the Ashura season as an opportunity to strengthen national unity and promote peaceful coexistence.

He called for collaborative efforts from both governmental and civil institutions to uphold the observance of Ashura with dignity and reverence, free from any form of offense or disrespect.

Al Salloum further commended the annual meeting organized by the Ministry of Interior, the Jaffaria Waqf Directorate, the Hussaini Processions Authority, and heads of Maatem.

He praised the address delivered by Minister of Interior, Lt-General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, emphasizing the importance of unified efforts to ensure a safe Ashura season.

MP Dr. Maryam Al-Dhaen echoed these sentiments, expressing appreciation for the government's initiatives under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in providing essential services and facilities to ensure a successful Ashura season.
