Muharraq Police Arrest Individual for Travel Ticket Fraud

The Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate has nabbed a 56-year-old individual for defrauding several people by offering them travel tickets at prices lower than their actual cost.
The suspect, according to a statement issued by the Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate, advertised on social media platforms, offering tickets at discounted rates. However, he would purchase the tickets at their full price, cancel them, and keep the refunded amount.
Following reports of this fraudulent activity, the police initiated an investigation, gathering information and evidence. This led to the identification and arrest of the suspect. The necessary legal procedures were taken, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
The Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate urged in the statement the citizens and residents to deal only with licensed travel agencies and avoid engaging with unknown individuals.
