The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has conducted a total of 18,192 inspections and visits across all four governorates of Bahrain in the first half of 2024, targeting illegal and undocumented workers. These efforts resulted in the identification of 1,473 individuals violating labour laws and the deportation of 2,452 foreign workers.

The LMRA's weekly reports highlight the authority's commitment to enforcing labour laws and regulations, particularly those related to the Labour Market Regulatory Authority Law and the Residency Law of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The inspections, which spanned from January to June, were carried out across all four governorates: the Capital Governorate (112 inspections), Muharraq Governorate (48 inspections), Northern Governorate (45 inspections), and Southern Governorate (55 inspections).

The LMRA collaborated with several government agencies, including the Ministry of Interior (represented by Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence, and the General Directorate for the Execution of Judgments), the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority.
