Leena Habib Kassim, a member of the Shura Council, affirmed Bahrain’s significant commitment to supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and fostering a robust partnership between the public and private sectors.

This approach is seen as a crucial foundation for economic growth and achieving the Bahrain Economic Vision 2023. Kassim explained that the SMEs Development Board was established to enhance the entrepreneurship sector and provide support to SMEs.

Numerous initiatives and programs have been introduced, focusing on five strategic areas: securing financing, accessing markets, encouraging innovation, developing skills, and simplifying the business environment.

During her participation in the “Financing the Business Idea” session at the 2nd Economic Parliamentary Forum for the Euro-Mediterranean Region & Gulf, Leena Habib Kassim emphasized that the Supreme Council for Women has significantly contributed to the empowerment and advancement of Bahraini women in economic participation.

This has been achieved through the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women and its vision for the phase (2023-2030), which aims to support women in emerging economic sectors and align with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
