Bahrain’s digital economy highlighted at Marrakech Forum

MP Hanan Fardan affirmed that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has a leading and distinguished experience in the digital economy.

Fardan emphasized the importance of keeping pace with digital transformation to support sustainable development goals.

She noted that among the most significant challenges in digital entrepreneurship are the technical and security issues faced by entrepreneurs in using digital technology and artificial intelligence.

She stressed the necessity of stringent protection measures and legal guidelines to address these challenges.

Fardan made these remarks during her participation in the session “Entrepreneurship in the Digital World and the Challenges of Artificial Intelligence” at the 2nd Marrakech Economic Parliamentary Forum for the Euro-Mediterranean region and the Gulf.

The forum, attended by the Bahraini parliamentary delegation led by Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, discussed the impact of digital technology and artificial intelligence on entrepreneurship and the digital economy.
