Bahrain delegation attends Arab Parliament session

A Council of Representatives delegation yesterday participated in the fifth session of the fourth legislative term of the Arab Parliament at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo, Egypt.

The Bahraini delegation included MPs Mamdouh Al Saleh and Dr. Hisham Al Asheeri, both members of the Arab Parliament. The delegation commended Bahrain’s significant role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in enhancing joint Arab action. They noted the Kingdom’s active contribution to supporting and unifying the Arab position, especially given the current geopolitical, economic, and security challenges facing the region.

During the session, the Arab Parliament discussed several agenda items, the most prominent being developments related to the Palestinian issue and the challenges it faces.

The session also included a review of reports from the joint committee on developing and activating mechanisms for joint Arab action, as well as the committee honouring former Arab Parliament members.

Additionally, the four permanent Arab Parliament committees presented their reports: the Foreign, Political and National Security Affairs Committee; the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee; the Legislative, Legal and Human Rights Affairs Committee; and the Social, Educational, Cultural, Women and Youth Affairs Committee.
