Beloved Bahraini Restaurant Owner, Salim Hassan Salman "Salimk," Passes Away

Bahrain mourns the loss of Salim Hassan Salman, affectionately known as "Salimk," the owner of the renowned "Salimk Restaurant," a household name synonymous with the popular Bahraini dish, "Baaja." Salimk passed away peacefully this morning and will be laid to rest this afternoon at the Muharraq cemetery.
Salimk's legacy began in the early 1980s when he opened his first restaurant in Muharraq, specializing in the beloved "Baaja." His dedication and passion for the dish, along with his warm hospitality, quickly made his restaurant a local favourite. He later expanded his business, opening a second location in East Riffa, solidifying his position as one of Bahrain's most prominent "Baaja" restaurants.
