The second phase of the sewerage network construction in Block 228 in Busaiteen is now 55% complete, according to Engineer Fathi Al Farea, Assistant Undersecretary for Sewage Projects at the Ministry of Works.
Engineer Al Farea confirmed that the project is advancing according to plan. It involves connecting various commercial buildings and residential homes to the sewage network, with 3.9 km of main sewage lines and 938 metres of secondary sewage lines under construction. Additionally, 154 inspection rooms are being built as part of the effort.
"The Ministry is working to match the expansion and urban growth seen across the Kingdom's governorates," said Engineer Al Farea. "By linking all properties to the sewage network, we are extending this vital service to a wider population."
So far, the project has seen the completion of 2,292 metres of main sewer lines and 239 metres of subsidiary sewer lines, along with the creation of 53 main and subsidiary inspection rooms.
The Ministry of Works has advised citizens, residents, and the local community to observe the warning signs during the project period to ensure safety.
Valued at 918,000 Bahraini dinars, the project was awarded by the Tender Board.
