Focus on Ashura security and safety

The Northern Governor, Ali bin Al Shaikh Abdulhussain Al Asfoor, has asserted that the Northern Governorate is following up on security and safety procedures by interacting with the heads of community centres (Mattams) to ensure the safe marking of Ashura rituals.
He highlighted this during the governorate’s weekly negotiation meeting, which was held in the presence of the Deputy Northern Governor, Brigadier Abdullah Ali Al Muantar.
He said that per the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the governorate listed the Hussainiy Food Distribution Corners (Madh’ef ) to ensure that they are licenced and following security and safety rules.
