Bahrain’s Ashura Season: A Beacon of Peace and Tolerance

Dr. Maryam Al-Dhaen, MP, has hailed Bahrain’s upcoming Ashura season as a testament to the Kingdom’s commitment to peace and tolerance.

She credited this special atmosphere to the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Dr. Al-Dhaen pointed to HM King Hamad’s recent meeting with the Council of Ministers where he emphasized ensuring a smooth Ashura observance.

This includes facilitating traditional practices like funeral processions and gatherings (Husseiniyyat).

These actions highlight the King’s ongoing dedication to this significant event, the MP said.

Dr. Al-Dhaen extended her praise to the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Their collaboration with various agencies, especially the Ministry of Interior, ensured a safe and organized commemoration across Bahrain, Dr Al-Dhaen stated.

The Ashura season, Dr. AlDhaen emphasized, embodies Bahrain’s rich tradition of religious pluralism and national unity.

It serves as a powerful symbol of the historical legacy of harmony and coexistence that continues to define Bahraini society.
