An Asian died and another was searched for in a sandslide at a site under construction in Janabiya

This morning, civil defence personnel managed to rescue an Asian worker and retrieve the body of another following a sand collapse during their routine work at a sewer and stormwater network construction site in the Janabiya area. Search and rescue operations continue for a missing worker.
According to details, the operations room received a report of a sand collapse at an under-construction site, trapping three workers in the section facing Sheikh Isa bin Salman Highway towards the King Fahd Causeway. Rescue and civil defence teams immediately rushed to the site. The teams successfully rescued one worker and transported him to the hospital while retrieving the body of his colleague. Search operations using machinery are ongoing for the third missing person.
