MENA Aerospace Hangar Complex opened

Manama

Minister of Transport and Telecommunications Engineer Kamal Bin Ahmed opened the MENA Aerospace Hangar Complex at Bahrain International Airport recently.

Commenting on the new MENA facilities, the Minister said, “Bahrain always welcomes investments into its aviation infrastructure.  We have worked hard and long to develop the right atmosphere for these investments. New initiatives that will supplement and support further investments into Aviation are on their way.”

MENA Aerospace has undertaken several measures to expand and strengthen its business aviation activities. Among these, for operations, the company is in the process of signing new agreements with internationally renowned partners in the field of private business aviation.

Thanking the Minister for his support, Tawfeeq Al Zamil, Vice Chairman of MENA Aerospace, said, “The atmosphere of partnership is what led us to invest in Bahrain. Our recently concluded partnerships are expected to raise the bar for business and private aviation service in the region.”

As part of its Aircraft Maintenance services, MENA Aerospace’s strategy consists of enhancing its contribution to this sector by creating a business aircraft interior facility geared towards the refurbishment, modification, and completion of business aircraft. To this end the company has selected and closed a partnership deal with Tempus Jets to bring them to the region.

At present there are no equivalent services available in the MENA region.  Tempus Jets is one of the world's leading aviation services firms based in Norfolk Virgina, USA. It is one of only eight companies in the world that have been granted licences for Boeing’s and Airbus’ interior design and certification data.

Members of the Mena Aerospace Board and the company’s senior executives were present on the occasion.
