Bahrain and Jordan explored future cooperation in the fields of culture and heritage expertise exchange.

HE Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, welcomed Her Highness Princess Dana Firas at the Bahrain National Museum today.

Princess Dana Firas, who holds multiple prestigious titles including President of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS-Jordan), President of the Petra National Trust, and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Cultural Heritage, was in Bahrain for the opening of the exhibition "Unique and Outstanding: Jordan’s World Heritage Sites" at the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage.

The meeting, held on the sidelines of the exhibition opening, was a platform for extensive discussions on various cultural issues of mutual interest, with a strong emphasis on the preservation of World Heritage Sites in both Bahrain and Jordan.
Shaikh Khalifa and Princess Dana exchanged insights on best practices for the conservation and management of heritage sites, highlighting the importance of international cooperation and knowledge sharing.

They explored potential avenues for future collaboration in cultural and heritage fields, aiming to enhance the preservation efforts through shared expertise and resources.
