Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Meets with US Assistant Secretary of Defense to Strengthen Bilateral Ties
His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Commander of the Royal Guard, met with Dr. Celeste Wallander, US Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, as part of his visit to the United States of America.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pride in the historical relations and strategic partnership that has linked it with the friendly United States of America over many decades. He emphasized that the relationship is built on trust, mutual cooperation, and joint coordination as partners and allies in many key fields, including the military and defense sectors, with a shared goal of establishing peace and stability.
During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Nasser reviewed the course of Bahraini-American relations with Dr. Wallander and explored ways to support and enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in several important areas. They also discussed the outcomes of the meetings of the Defense Working Group (DWG) affiliated with the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States.
The meeting included a comprehensive review of regional and international issues of common interest. His Highness Sheikh Nasser highlighted the importance of the strategic partnership in addressing these issues and the role of both nations in promoting global peace and security.
Dr. Celeste Wallander expressed her country's appreciation for the close relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain and emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and joint coordination in the military and defense fields.
