Bahrain clinches top spot in global Quran competition

The Kingdom of Bahrain has secured first place in the BRICS International Holy Quran Competition, held in Kazan, Russian Federation, from July 24 to 26, 2024.
The announcement came during the closing ceremony yesterday evening, attended by Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed Al Hajri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sunni Endowments.
Dr. Muhammad Samir Mujahid claimed the top position for Bahrain in the recitation category, competing against participants from 20 countries worldwide.
His Excellency Nawaf bin Mohammed Al-Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, expressed pride in this achievement, stating it “embodies the passion of Bahraini youth to memorise and recite the Book of Allah.”
He attributed this success to the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the ongoing support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
