Rashid holds solo art exhibition in Bavaria

The solo art exhibition titled “Circular Simplicity” by artist Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the National Arts Council, was recently inaugurated at the Das Kleine Museum in Bavaria, Germany. The opening event was attended by prominent figures, including the First Deputy Governor of Bavaria, the Minister of Economy, the Mayor of Weinstadt, various government officials, and art enthusiasts.

The Deputy First Minister of Bavaria, representing the Prime Minister, delivered a welcome letter to Rashid Al Khalifa, highlighting the exhibition as a step towards strengthening cultural and artistic ties between Bavaria and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The exhibition, running until October 26, features seven artworks by Al Khalifa that showcase his modernist approach.

His work, inspired by the circle as a symbol of perfection and continuity, reflects the cyclical nature of existence.

In his remarks, Rashid expressed his pleasure at presenting his work in Germany and the positive reception from the German public. He emphasised his hope that the exhibition would foster cultural communication between Bahrain and Germany.

“Germany is a country with a diverse and rich culture and arts. I enjoyed interacting with the German public and exchanging inspiration and ideas with them.

I look forward to further cooperation with the German art community to enhance cultural and artistic exchange between our nations,” he said.
