Parliament is expected to discuss the installation of security cameras in classrooms and school facilities when sessions resume.

This move aims to enhance educational quality by improving resources and behavioural assessment methods through advanced observation techniques, recognising the crucial role of effective teaching and classroom management in reducing violence and bullying.

MP Basma Mubarak and several colleagues are advocating for this initiative.

According to the explanatory memorandum, the Ministry of Education is committed to providing top-tier educational services by elevating education quality, building community partnerships, and developing the knowledge, skills, and values of students to improve educational outcomes and support the national economy.

In its ongoing efforts to promote positive behaviour among students, the Ministry is eager to amplify the role of administrative and educational bodies in supporting the personal development of students at all educational levels.

In collaboration with parents, teachers strive to develop students' skills while promoting positive values and addressing their psychological needs by providing a disciplined and motivating environment and employing various educational strategies.

The proposal aims to finalise the installation of security cameras in Bahrain’s school facilities and classrooms to systematically monitor the school day, offer adequate evidence for student assessment and parental follow-up, and reduce the likelihood of problems arising.
