The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has set a timeline for updating income data for citizens with pending applications. This process will run from Sunday, August 4, through October 31, 2024.
The ministry has stated that the income update will be handled electronically. Applicants must submit income verification documents via the “Updating Income Data” online service on the national portal, bahrain.bh, eliminating the need for a visit to the ministry’s customer service centre.
The ministry urges all citizens with pending housing applications to complete the required update by providing proof of income within the set timeframe to ensure their applications remain active.
For those who cannot complete the update online, an appointment can be booked for the "Updating Income Data Service" on the ministry’s website. This service offers a virtual meeting with a customer service representative to address any questions. Additionally, support is available through the ministry’s hotline at 80008001 or via the interactive services on the customer service platform.
The ministry explained that this routine update aims to refresh the database and support development plans for housing services. It also ensures that citizens' data meet the criteria necessary for continuing to benefit from the services applied for.
Citizens with pending housing applications are advised to follow the update procedures according to the announced schedule and to register with the Government Notifications Service to receive relevant text messages from the ministry.
